God guy
The good Christian came in today to file a complaint against me.
He admits to making the statements, but it turns out, he didn't mean it. Plus, he's a good Christian.

So you arrested him because he admitted to a crime, which makes you....a good cop! And the nature of his complaint is - ???
Standing in church doesn't make you Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.
The guy's a douchebag plain and simple.

The FWPD field SO many stupid-ass "claims" against officers, it's not even funny.
Sadly, it DOES take officers off the street, gets the "headhunters" in I/A salivating, and gives the media something to print.
My take is that it's a ploy to diminish the capacity of any police department to EFFECTIVELY do it's job, and forces the brass to walk on eggshells to please a few (at the risk of everyone else's safety).
But that's just what I see & hear.
Stay safe out there.
As an IA investigator for all of three days now, I want to make it plain to Bob G. and others that not ALL officers assigned to the division are 'head-hunters." Some of us never wanted the job, but we go where we are told to.
Nothing has pleased me more over the past few days than telling people, over the phone and in person, they have absolutely no basis for a complaint. I am beginning to enjoy heading those bullshit complaints off at the pass.
