I moderate comments too. I go to some blogs and especially newspaper articles and can't believe the cruel stuff people will write to each other and about people they don't know.

I didn't start out w/ com-mod, but had to go to it when I started to get spam (solicitation...thought I hung that sign out in plain view), and some smarmy "comments" from those who choose to just go off half-cocked, instead of taking a moment to UNDERSTAND and LEARN.
Places like ours (here) are created for a REASON...to show the problems with humanity, discuss and debate (in a civil manner) solutions, as well as demonstrate to others that we not only give a damn, BUT also are not afraid to show others OUR humanity.

Glad you give him shit. This is YOUR personal page, and while people have a right to their opinion, there's a right way and wrong to say it. If they can't act civilized, delete their ass!
I seem to recall an incident I had sometime last year where someone was wishing me dead and praying I wouldn't make it through my surgery alive. I took your advice (which I thank you for), ignored him and turned on the comment moderation.
I no longer do that since I barely have anyone stop by anymore, but it could be because I don't really visit anyone's blogs except your's and Robin's.

David's a complete ass. He's why I also enabled comment moderation when I was blogging. Stupid motherfucker doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. Typical fucking lawyer know it all.
I have been debating moderation in order to rid the blog of David and the Chinese spammer, but I don't want to it. That would make me no better than the MSM who pick and choose what to present/report on their shows and in their papers.
David I can deal with however. We want law abiding citizens to know and understand some of the challenges we face and types like David fit that glove very well. Getting rid of that Chinese spammer might be difficult.
David is a moron and a cop-hater. I doubt you are ever going to make him understand anything. I read in one comment of his that we should not let any SWAT officers ever serve in a regular patrol position because they are trained to kill! To kill!
