No good deed...

This is pretty much the story of my life lately:

It seems like each rising sun brings another heap of crap to throw on the already towering pile and for the life of me, I can't figure out why. If I have to donate/go to one more "Officer needs assistance" benefit for hurt/sick cops, I'm liable to eat my own gun. This rash of good people getting screwed up by shitheads and contracting all these diseases has got to stop. The community lost another brother yesterday; someone I knew.

I'm starting to believe that it really doesn't matter if you do good or bad. There's no reward and there's certainly no justice.

Moe:
I agree that justice, as we ONCE knew and defined it, has been usurped by lefty loons who's MAIN concern is protecting the GUILTY.

With that said, although such justice might be fading into the sunset oft times, I always recall that statement made by Frank Castle in the movie THE PUNISHER:

"In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate.
In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law.
To pursue... NATURAL JUSTICE.
This is not vengeance.
Revenge is not a valid motive, it's an emotional response.
No, not vengeance.
Punishment".

It's not the BEST solution, but it provides a glimmer of hope...somewhere.
I don't really advocate such behavior, but there are MANY times that I KNOW for a fact that people WOULD be better served *IF* this would happen now and then.

I hear where you're coming from.

Do stay safe, Moe.

I'm sorry about your loss, Moe... yes that is a collective "your" as well as personal. I wish I had something more profound to say other than "take care."
