Getting beat up left and right

Besides the constant mental beating I take 5 days a week on my shift, I took a physical beating today.

Range day left me with:

• A lovely burn mark on my chest from another officer's hot brass landing perfectly behind my vest and into my t-shirt.
• Three minor burn marks on my face from the same officer's brass hitting it on the firing line.
• Two puncture holes in my thumb from the weapon's slide in a close quarter firing scenario.
